Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at
Guru Nanak Dev Dental College and Research Institute, Sunam. The flag hoisting
ceremony was held on the college campus in the morning. Advocate Ashok Bansal,
director-trustee of the college, hoisted the flag. He was accompanied by 
Mr. Akhil Bansal, Trustee, Dr. Rajinder Bansal, Dr. Basu SK, Dr. Puneet Goyal, 
Dr. Sachin Jindal, Dr. Divya Saxena and other faculty members, students 
and non-teaching staff, including Mr. Surinder Mohan and Mr. Ishwinder Singh. 

After the flag hoisting ceremony, Advocate Ashok Bansal spoke about the importance 
of Independence Day and urged the students to become patriots and contribute to the 
development of the nation. He also talked about the sacrifices made by the freedom 
fighters for India's independence.

The students of the college also presented a cultural programme on the occasion.
The event included patriotic songs, dances and skits. The event was a huge
success and instilled a sense of patriotism among the students.
