The Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Guru Nanak Dev Dental College and Research Institute, Sunam. The flag unfurling ceremony was held on the college campus in the morning. Advocate Ashok Bansal, Managing Director of the College, unfurled the flag, accompanied by Dr. Rajinder Bansal, Dr. Basu SK, Dr. Puneet Goyal, Dr. Sachin Jindal and other faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff, including Mr. Surinder Mohan (Administrative Officer, General) and Mr. Ishwinder Singh (Administrative Officer, Academic). After the flag unfurling ceremony, Advocate Ashok Bansal spoke about the importance of Republic Day and urged the students to contribute to the development of the nation. The students also presented a cultural program, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits, which instilled a sense of patriotism among the students.

It symbolizes the country's aspirations and its role as the nurturer of democracy. The day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950, marking the transition of India to a republic governed by a democratic constitution.
